The Alliance for Cardio-Metabolic Health and Research–Kenya (ACMHR-K) is led by a diverse and accomplished team of professionals dedicated to improving health, nutrition, and research outcomes across Kenya and beyond. Leadership Team:

  • Dr. Simon Aloo – Chairperson
    Provides visionary leadership grounded in science and innovation. His expertise in food science, nutrition, biotechnology, and biomedical research drives ACMHR-K’s mission to advance cardiovascular and metabolic health through evidence-based solutions and community-focused research.

  • Ms. Monica Ndunda – Secretary and Project coordinator
    Brings valuable field experience in nutrition and public health. She ensures ACMHR-K’s projects remain practical, community-centered, and aligned with county and national health priorities.

  • Mr. Silas Ambundo – National Treasurer
    Leads ACMHR-K’s community engagements and education programs. His background in science education and mentorship supports school-based health awareness and lifestyle improvement initiatives.

  • Mr. Stephen Nyaranga – IT Coordinator
    Integrates climate science into ACMHR-K’s health programs. His expertise links environmental factors to nutrition and cardio-metabolic risks, helping to design climate-resilient health strategies
