About ACMHR-K
Who We Are
Founded in 2025, the Alliance for Cardio-Metabolic Health and Research – Kenya (ACMHR-K) brings together scientists, clinicians, educators, researchers, and health advocates to advance understanding, prevention, and control of cardio-metabolic diseases in Kenya and beyond.
The organization was established in response to the rising burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), particularly cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity, and hypertension, which continue to threaten the health and productivity of millions of people.
ACMHR-K operates through multidisciplinary collaboration, scientific innovation, policy engagement, education, and community-centered interventions aimed at promoting healthier populations and stronger health systems.
