The Alliance for Cardio-Metabolic Health and Research–Kenya (ACMHR-K) is led by a diverse and accomplished team of professionals dedicated to improving health, nutrition, and research outcomes across Kenya and beyond. Our Board offers strategic guidance, technical expertise, and strong governance to ensure that ACMHR-K delivers lasting impact with integrity and innovation

Leadership Team:

  • Dr. Simon Aloo – Founder & Chairperson
    Provides visionary leadership grounded in science and innovation. His expertise in food science, nutrition, biotechnology, and biomedical research drives ACMHR-K’s mission to advance cardiovascular and metabolic health through evidence-based solutions and community-focused research.

  • Dr. Sheila Kilozi – Secretary
    Bridges academia and public health practice. Her extensive experience in community nutrition and teaching strengthens ACMHR-K’s partnerships with universities and its capacity-building initiatives for health professionals.

  • Mr. Stephen Nyaranga – Treasurer
    Integrates climate science into ACMHR-K’s health programs. His expertise links environmental factors to nutrition and cardio-metabolic risks, helping to design climate-resilient health strategies

  • Ms. Monica Ndunda – Project coordinator
    Brings valuable field experience in nutrition and public health. She ensures ACMHR-K’s projects remain practical, community-centered, and aligned with county and national health priorities.

  • Mr. Silas Ambundo – Communications Manager
    Leads ACMHR-K’s youth and education programs. His background in science education and mentorship supports school-based health awareness and lifestyle improvement initiatives.
